...One day, Len got really really bored. She didn't want post her works on DA. Neither does she wanna post in FAC. She just want a quiet space for herself. Somewhere where no one will comment or spy on. So she made this :P

Through the mind of a Genius...

A few days ago, I went for the exhibition featuring Leonardo Da Vinci's works, hosted by the Science Centre with Ms Sunshine! We've been planning this for quite sometime, and postponed it due to the Friday night star gazing event. Haiz... in the end, the sky was too cloudy to see anything that night... but, at least we finish going through the works in the exhibition.

Too bad, cameras are not allowed in the exhibition, so the only two works I get to photograph is Mona Lisa and this one: (And yea, not to mention they are all digital prints..)

The Vitruvian Man....

Ah well... at least that's some free anatomy class there. The videos shown were pretty good, telling about the Mona Lisa, Vitruvian man, Last Supper, and one which I missed out due to lack of time, some video on Leonardo Da Vinci made by the BBC. Guess that's one very important video, heck, maybe surf the net for that.

Come to think of it, there isn't much memorable works from Leonardo D.V there. The ones that people will remember are Mona Lisa and Last Supper, can't name anything else. No wonder towards his last years, he felt he had not accomplished much. :-/ The exhibition strongly features the stuff that were from his notebooks. They re-created the inventions that were doodled in those notebooks and show it to the public. It's really cool, and pretty creepy to know that so many modern stuff were once thought out by someone living so many hundred years ago. (In that case, I really wonder if there was anyone else living hundreds of years earlier than Leonardo D.V who might have thought up all these too...)

Went for the 'Sea Monsters' IMAX movie at the Omni Theatre too. Geez, how long has it been since the last time I was in there..... Feels like I'm back to primary school, especially when I see those kids lining up to get into the science centre... =_=

Anyways, we spent the entire afternoon to the night at the Science Centre. Haiz... why was the sky cloudy.... Nevermind, maybe we go back next time to view the stars. Pretty exciting to know that they have free star gazing event every Friday night. But guess gotta look out for the weather these times. The skies here seems 'constipated' this past week. Gray clouds, then sunshine, then gray again, then sun. No rain at all.... -_-

Wanted to scrap this drawing away yesterday when looking for a fresh piece of watercolor paper to use for some small painting, but couldn't bear to... Tried to finish it and after some time, I did managed to set it ready for some paints. I wonder if my brain is wanting some challenge out of it and I end up inking it with that water soluble sepia ink. And yea, the ink spread while I painted it, but guess the unpredictability was what kept me going. Hey, I'm making problems for myself! Lol...

Oh yea, that's Irina from Maplestory Ep 2. Just love their artworks there, but somehow, she reminded me of some FFIV character.... -_-

Life Update IV

Image heavy worr....) The second week of july. Let's see...

Cookie. yea.
Jaryn had asked for my help at the cookie shop again. This time, she wanted to go for a holiday, heck care H1N1. (Or maybe the quarantine part would be a good break too.) Ting asked if I ever felt like a ball being kicked around. Come to think of it, maybe, but somehow, unlike another job, I don't really feel being pushed around. She hardly wanna bother me with work unless it's really the last option. And it's just two mondays, she respected my decision of not bothering me on the last week of my holidays. Feel bad... now I'm feeling sick from the past few days of sinning... T_T Hope I don't affect the shop name today...

Saturday rush time...

The morning 0630 - 1130
Woke up unusually early on saturday, since it's a walk at the Southern Ridge with my aunties. It's some Australian University Alumni walk. I hardly bond with my aunties, so just take that oppurtunity to spend some time with them. Yea, I was early. Nyak nyak. But they weren't that late, just a bus behind me. Haha, Aunty Soon is known to have super rubber timing. But it seems like she's not so bad after all when we end up waiting for the other alumni people to arrive.

By then, the sky was already dark with gray clouds (those that tells u that it's gonna be raining for at least the next half hour.) So... didn't take any pictures there... The one cup of cereal I had in the morning digested away... and my legs were shaking when I got to henderson waves. Pretty bad... but heng heng there's a pack of biscuits in the goodie bag, so just gobbled it. On the way grabbed some milo from the vending machine outside the toilets.

Yea, reached Hortpark pretty quickly. Maybe because of the rain, not many stopped to take pictures and enjoy the scenery during the walk.

Testing my camera at Hortpark. The sun was shining then...

I don't have a habit of taking pictures, and hence, didn't really understand the camera much. Tried playing with it, but guess I wasn't really playing.

The aunties were kind of excited over that pot of lemon plant there. Thought it was interesting and snapped a photo of it. Anyways, we took a bus back after that, going seperate way home. Asked if I wanted to have a quick lunch outside before heading home, I kind of rejected it. Maybe cos somehow, there's lunch waiting for me already. Ahh... home.

The Afternoon 1300 - 1800

After having that Mac chicken burger, I went off towards Pasir Ris. Yesh, Xiu, it's Cosfest 2009. Too bad u aren't here. (or rather... haiz, why aren't u here...)

It's a pretty long ride from the west to east (in singaporean terms haha), got there by around 230pm. Went in and tried to locate Dor's booth, but end up meeting Kai first instead. He was looking after the booth for a friend, so just chatted a little while and headed off to find Dor again. Didn't participate in the booth this year. Two of her IFS friends asked if they could participate, and probably because of that, I took the chance to slack off and join the crowd of on-lookers... hehe.

Haiz... cosfest without Xiu is....boring. But anyways, just went around snapping pics of the cosplayers.

First one was this! Haha, thought Madame Red was really cool. A couple of Ciels this time, and they are all in different costumes. XD

Dunno where this two are from, but I kind of like the simple costumes.

Someone was singing on stage then, and I quite liked her voice. Only to realise later that her full costume was one really cool one.

I went in and out a few times, taking photos at times. Still trying to figure out the lighting there. Cloud!!

Tis ish phor Xiuey! XD

Dunno which characters are they cosplaying, but the costumes are cool. And the female cosplayer reminded me of Jing Xian...

From Kuroshitsuji. This two are really cute, asked for their pictures and they looked around thinking where to pose for me. And tah dah! There's some flags behind them and the curly haired lady just exclaimed 'circus!' and we took the picture.

*This is the Prince of TENNIS!* (sing song)

From Fullmoon wo Sagashite, not really expecting it, but still nice >_<

Dunno from which series, but on the way here, I remembered seeing the tip of the weapon dropped on the floor. Nice costume though >_<

Dunno this one too, but it's really coool.

And my favourite of the day... The Trinity Blood gang. T_T Love the staff...

And that kind of concludes the Cosplaying pictures... Still trying to sharpen my photog skills. While looking for a nice place to settle down and have some bite, certain idiot popped out of nowhere and 'rawrrrr'...

At Night 1800 - 2300

Weeeeeeeeeeeee~~~~~~

Chocolate buffeettt!!!!

*coughcough...*

Haiz.. what a sinful feast... Anyways, wahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha! A birthday treat from Alton, since I treated him to the FF concert as a bdae gift. But sadly.. woke up this morning with a sore throat... But heck. Didn't take much pictures there, and those that I took turned out all blurry.. other than this one.

MWwwwwwwmmmmmmmmmmm....... Xiu... let's go someday...... you know you know... all chocolate de, there's this pie that's all chocolate, mwuaaahh... the one with lemon and the one with orange de also nice and refreshing taste... there's one that reminded me of mum's bdae cake... some crunchy biscuit filling in the middle de... didn't try the mint keki... me got full pretty fast maybe cos drank too much water... so sad......

Sunday...

Yea, woke up, and my sore throat was worse than before. But heck, went for Huiying's chinese orchestra concert at the esplanade. We got into the concert hall late, and sat very near to the cellos. Couldn't quite hear the erhu well maybe because of that. After that, we hang out at the esplande area for sometime, and yesh, foooood. Hungweee... Wush and CC were just back from the DMD chalet gathering then, wush having just a banana for lunch.... the fish soup noodle I had earlier on digested too... so after circling the area a while thinking what we wanna eat, we ended up at some soup cafe.

A birthday treat from CC! XD (Thanka!) After that, we went towards seaside area and yea, 'blow wind' for an hour or so before HY started saying that some dessert would be nice.

Yesh, choc again. XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD Nonono... a choc buffet is not gonna stop me from having more........ XDXDXD

The soffiato at the Riccioti! This time... a treat from both Wush and HY! XDXDXDXDXD (the pizza's good too... wush was contemplating to gobble the wooden board that it was served on.)

Tuck in, man. XD

Oh, and stuff bought off the booths of the cosfest. XD Love this badge, so cute >_< The seller gave me a postcard for free too, pretty nice illustration there.

This set of postcards caught my eye and yea, just get them both.

Okita's drawing of a witch.

And Dor's latest work! XD
