...One day, Len got really really bored. She didn't want post her works on DA. Neither does she wanna post in FAC. She just want a quiet space for herself. Somewhere where no one will comment or spy on. So she made this :P

o0Antares0o

Drew this a long time back, but worked very slowly. Not much motivation to carry on... Maybe it's because of the "I'm just filling in the colors" feel of the coloring process. Added in the logos and everything to make it look like an official game art, which was the intention of creating this picture.

Logos from Maple Wikia.

Ada arr Ada-ji...

One thing has been troubling me for a while, and that is this little lady... Sent her sms two weeks ago regarding some stuff n she didn't reply. It was pretty seldom of her to do so, especially since it's the one great chance to 'suan' me after a month of no communication. (think I won't bring it up in front of her, since she missed the oppurtunity, hahahaah~) On the eve of Chinese New Year, yea... i did send her another sms, and she didn't reply too. Very queer... so queer that it becomes worrying. Decided to give her a house call today... and yea. There she is, the same old Miss Sunshine. What's more, she seems to be halfway eating some bak kwua and asked me to hold on while she go clean her hands.

It just so happens that her handphone had died earlier on, think around the week when I sent her the first sms. And I went... 'Ooooooo... okie. No substitute?'

"没有啊 Miss Booon~ 我是有多一架旧的电话但是也坏掉了啦~~~"

Sweatdrop.

Super sweatdrop...

Yea. That's 'Qing Qing' for you, I guess. Damsel in distress for now... She didn't want to spend the money on a new phone, and all her contacts were saved onto the phone memory, which makes things a bit worse. Probably the good thing is that her life doesn't revolve around the gadget. Chatted a while, and she revealed that she had finally compiled her little book of drawings. Can't wait to see that, the last time I saw her b/w illustrations, there was improvement, though I wonder which direction could she bring her illustrations to so as to feed herself... Hope to meet her up soon.

------------
Haven't mapled for a few days, the biggest reason cos my archer just leveled again, and I didn't want to continue so fast as work is pouring in.

My best achievement so far... couldn't last for a minute at this stage. Sadded. Can't knockback this dragon, and my puppet is not able to hold his attacks for long. Time not long enough too. Demotivated..... T_T (but demotivated at the right time.)

Anticipating a chaotic week after the short cny holidays... but recess week is around the corner. Time to catch up then!

Yay!! :)

Whew... holidays!!!!!!! XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD
(Can't hold myself from that 'XD' there.... hahahaha~)

Anyways, 3D was done, together with HY's project.... so YAY!!!!!! XDXDXD

Super yay that my sis is finally back!!!!! XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD

She seems to have grown fatter... but not so much that her belly is bulging or something. XD Anyways, this week is gonna be pretty much busy, next week too. Jaryn's asking me back for work due to Joanne's heart condition. Quite relunctant to go back though... bet she knows it too, but the fact that she's also asking the many old birds for help signified how bad the situation was. I wonder what would happen if Joanne was to quite one day? Haiz.... it's screwed man. Anyways, it's not gonna stop me from enjoying myself this month. Time's running short, gotta think how to spend this month!!

Something I did for Beryl in the earlier month. Decided to design a bdae card for her, one that can hold a maple card, since she's playing maple. :P

Haha, she's taking visual communication path. A budding illustrator (hmmm..wonder if that's a right description...), she's quite unconfident with her skills. Largely due to the fact that the vis comm environment is very competitive. After seeing some works and hearing from Ling, the standard seems pretty high, something which definitely made Ber's works paled from the rest, despite the interesting concepts. I suggested that she build up her drawing skills and merge it with her vis com ideas, although she felt it wouldn't help as much as getting that design sense. Somehow, I wonder is it design sense or is it the play of the computer programs that made her felt that way? Drawing isn't totally less useful, in fact, my former tutor pushed us wsc-ers to do illustrating during the wsc days... so probably I do felt the importance of drawing in design too. But Ms Joan Kelly was right too... you can have beautiful colors and brushstrokes for a painting, but with a bad composition, it's gonna look bad. Maybe that's why I got stuck with the drawing of this painting for a long time:

It's something which I owed a maple buddy for a long time... Requested by Yuin, his assasin and pole-armer separated by a wall, signifying his change and moving on. It was drawn almost a year plus ago, but I didn't know what to do with the colors. Somehow, the picture wasn't working, and I didn't really figure it out until recently... the steely was stealing the eye flow away. Tried to pull it back with the white, but I guess it just won't work. Might be better if it was tilted 45 degress downwards.... or it just begs another drawing that could be pieced up to it on the left. (I'll think about it...)

Used the new winsor and newtown paints that Xiu brought back from Aussie there. Love the colors they give, there was a certain shine to them. Hopefully.... I'll do more with it! XD

Wednesdays

No classes on wed, so I'm free for a day every week... or maybe not... Haha, wanted to study accounts today, but end up painting the entire morning. Another piece of the Cygnus knights, Irina.. again. Realise I like to play with long hair in the pictures, haha.

Got a tube of white gouache while at BB purchasing some oil painting materials at Straits Commercial. The old man serving me was enlightening me with his knowledge of materials there. Didn't know zinc white is more suitable for mixing colors while titanium white is more opaque and suitable for highlights. No wonder I had some hard time with highlights sometime back when I was using zinc white gouache. Ah well... pocket's empty now... 72 bucks for 5 tubes of paint, 3 brushes, oil, turpentine... Guess no Natsu Matsuri for me this year...

Oil painting class was fun. Didn't take a shot of my painting yesterday, cos me forgot to bring my cam. I realised my technique changed quite a lot from the last attempt of oil painting (only did it about twice, haha.) From using lots of oil to impasto. The first line the tutor said when she saw it was "now that's some ferocious painting!" Haha... maybe it's frustration. Still trying to digest that accounting info and finding my way of remembering terms... Notes doesn't help. Mind mapping... I end up spending more time with the fonts and unimportant stuff... -_- As for 3D, the tutorials from the book seems to help more than the classes, to say the truth. Starting to get a little hang of the software, but it's down to animation basics in the end, unless I decide to head for the technical area, which I'd rather do with clay.

The Fire Wizard

Borrowed a book of watercoloring angels from the school library the day before. From font to book binding...it looked very much like a kiddy book, but the illustrations quite caught my attention. Maybe it's the stained glass look... Or possibly cos it reminded me of the art noveau pictures I attempted to study during the holidays (and didn't of course...). Anyways, I began doodling this picture of Oz out.

Turns out a bit more CLAMPy than I thought....

Aim was to color, so didn't care much about the drawing.... Haha (lame excuse of bad proportion...) My tube of white gouache dried up.. so substituted it with acrylic, which didn't come out very good. Used a penknife to scratch out the whites instead. Guess it's time to go out and buy supplies!

School.... yea, craft of writing module. I thought Lecture theatre 1 was situated with the bunch of lecture theatres at South Spine... only to find out that it was in the further end of North Spine... T_T Walked all the way from S4 to the Food Court at North Spine... (hungry but can't eat cos of lecture...) Although I only managed to catch 30 minutes of the lecture, it seems like this module is pretty promising... And NO EXAMINATIONS. Ohhhh yeah. Assignments dun kill, oh no it don't...

Through the mind of a Genius...

A few days ago, I went for the exhibition featuring Leonardo Da Vinci's works, hosted by the Science Centre with Ms Sunshine! We've been planning this for quite sometime, and postponed it due to the Friday night star gazing event. Haiz... in the end, the sky was too cloudy to see anything that night... but, at least we finish going through the works in the exhibition.

Too bad, cameras are not allowed in the exhibition, so the only two works I get to photograph is Mona Lisa and this one: (And yea, not to mention they are all digital prints..)

The Vitruvian Man....

Ah well... at least that's some free anatomy class there. The videos shown were pretty good, telling about the Mona Lisa, Vitruvian man, Last Supper, and one which I missed out due to lack of time, some video on Leonardo Da Vinci made by the BBC. Guess that's one very important video, heck, maybe surf the net for that.

Come to think of it, there isn't much memorable works from Leonardo D.V there. The ones that people will remember are Mona Lisa and Last Supper, can't name anything else. No wonder towards his last years, he felt he had not accomplished much. :-/ The exhibition strongly features the stuff that were from his notebooks. They re-created the inventions that were doodled in those notebooks and show it to the public. It's really cool, and pretty creepy to know that so many modern stuff were once thought out by someone living so many hundred years ago. (In that case, I really wonder if there was anyone else living hundreds of years earlier than Leonardo D.V who might have thought up all these too...)

Went for the 'Sea Monsters' IMAX movie at the Omni Theatre too. Geez, how long has it been since the last time I was in there..... Feels like I'm back to primary school, especially when I see those kids lining up to get into the science centre... =_=

Anyways, we spent the entire afternoon to the night at the Science Centre. Haiz... why was the sky cloudy.... Nevermind, maybe we go back next time to view the stars. Pretty exciting to know that they have free star gazing event every Friday night. But guess gotta look out for the weather these times. The skies here seems 'constipated' this past week. Gray clouds, then sunshine, then gray again, then sun. No rain at all.... -_-

Wanted to scrap this drawing away yesterday when looking for a fresh piece of watercolor paper to use for some small painting, but couldn't bear to... Tried to finish it and after some time, I did managed to set it ready for some paints. I wonder if my brain is wanting some challenge out of it and I end up inking it with that water soluble sepia ink. And yea, the ink spread while I painted it, but guess the unpredictability was what kept me going. Hey, I'm making problems for myself! Lol...

Oh yea, that's Irina from Maplestory Ep 2. Just love their artworks there, but somehow, she reminded me of some FFIV character.... -_-

Life Update III

Whew, how long has it been since the last entry? (Hoho, expect a long one now...)

June has been a month of slacking... Was told that I need to substitute my mother's friend in her work, since she wanna go back thailand to visit her family. Was pretty relunctant, cos I was looking forward to the oppurtunities of working with the art school right after the cutting job. I was offered another cutting job and a book coloring job which I rejected, due to the cookie job which was expected to last for a month. Cancelled badminton too, standing for 8 hours is enough to make me tired... So there goes a month.

Cookie cookie cookie...

So it started with me putting on the red apron again. Kind of prepared myself mentally, all smiles like a salesperson... (makes me wonder if sales people suffer from split personalities...?) Working with Jaryn again makes me feel pretty safe, with her around, you can be sure the customers doesn't bully people, and time will fly, since she's a workaholic, which in turn motivates me to work more too. During work, she told me many stories, stories of customers... ugliness of sg... her current social life and the people at work. Lamenting about customers not acknowledging her presence when she tries to ask if they needed any help. Somehow, it kinda taught me how to be a better customer too...

Finally got to work with Joan, who I heard some stories about from another worker who seemed to be gone. She wasn't as bad as I've heard, at least we could talk and laugh together. The aunties are still the same, and at least Jaryn's bro didn't shoot me this time round.... >_<

There goes about two weeks, and my work days got lesser. By the last week of June, seems like I wasn't needed and I had the week to myself to enjoy. Haiz... shouldn't have rejected the book job if I'd know this would happen... Come to think of it, I haven't recieve my pay for the cutting job... yet.

Maplestory

The plan had been: work morning to evening, come back home chiong maple! Bought a 2x exp card from 6 to 10pm. And to my surprise, there was an 2x exp event at the last two weeks, every night from 8 to 10pm.... Which means, Zardas can hit 4th job, and yea, I did it... think from 9X and now he's 124.

Pretty crazy, pressing buttons and killing squids all the way... my wrists hurts now and then, quite warning me that I should take a break.

DouDou!

And yea! Finally sent off the drawing of Doudou to her (thank God Xiu didn't take that piece to Australia...). It was really by chance that I spoke to her. When someone just mega-ed a congratulatory message to her in game, I whispered a 'grats' and the next thing I know....

Was stunned there... and our dialogue began. It's nice talking to her again, although, she sounded pretty down... While I thought how to pack the painting up for her, I thought of drawing a small card along to cheer her on, since I dunno what else I can do... I'm not someone very close to her, hardly hear her woes too.... Sunflower again! I couldn't think of anything else other than that (must be Ms Sunshine...).

And then... I realised I dunno her real name while I filled in the address.... NGGAAAHHHHH......... T_T Wrote her ign instead... hoping that whoever got that mail first wouldn't feel awkward at that...

And hey, Singpost is pretty efficient! She got it within two days, and I was really happy to know that it got to her safely. Even more so when she said she was gonna find a frame for it and put it in her office. XD

... and unexpectedly, a few days after that, I recieved a letter from her. >_< Cry nia... seriously cried after reading it T_T It's very heartwarming to know that the drawing u did for someone is appreciated and valued, and the card did made her smile (longer than a second maybe... she wrote that which I thought would last just a second, lol..). Enclosed was also a 20k a-cash card, which was super out of expectation. Spent it immediately on a three-lined thank you mega where I tried to make a bunny with typography(which failed!!!! >_< Why.........) Doudou......

Drawing

Yea, done not much drawing really... A picture of the Goddess Cygnus:

Photographed... cos it's done with acrylic and the scanner do bad jobs when it comes to acrylic paintings. The base was given a layer of white acrylic (cos the paper was already dirtied with paints), and drawn directly on with pencil, after that I experimented a bit with paints and markers. Some alcohol here and there, and it looks pretty messed up. The white sprinkles probably finished it up, cos I was tired of the blue mess... And hey, turned out ok with the finishing touches there. The lines are done with a brown pen. A pretty random piece...

Wireless...

Gave me a headache. Aunty Soon signed up for a wireless connection with pacnet and hell did the router gave me probs. Stayed up late to do it, bugging my aunt for the information needed to access the connection. Haven't had a headache for some time, and after many failed attempts on getting it done on the pc, I gave up. Couldn't be bothered anymore, making me wonder if the pc is even able to go wireless since it's bought in 2001. There wasn't even a 'Local Area connection' on the network list which I could find on my laptop (and I found out that the router worked with it).

Then came Aunty Peck one night after entering the house... Seeing me play maple, she scolded me, her words going quite like a machine gun there. I got angry, and wanted very much to go into the kitchen and say I didn't ask for that wireless connection and the two of them ain't helping at all (even when Aunty Soon said she will be calling up the service men the previous day). Instead, just told mum loudly that I'm going downstairs to buy some milk. It's more than anger, it's upsetting. Didn't want to talk to them at all after that.

Was in a dilemma after that, I didn't want them to come shouting at me again the day after, and decided to surf the internet for information again. Headache arr... came to the conclusion that the home pc's driver needs to be updated. And even after that, the wireless connection on my sister's lappie wasn't working as it should. Haha... 512... couldn't even enter msn.

That night, tried to talk with Aunty Soon, and she told me she's concerned as to why I'm gaming so often and till so late these days. I poured out my thoughts there, why I didn't want to touch that router again and the 5am gaming session thing. Guess the ntu prof stabbing incident created an image of me becoming a gaming addict, throwing away responsibilities. Please man... I still eat halfway through the game, bro doesn't. Why get wireless when you say you don't want us to game? Oh man...

Birthday!

Haha, as always, it's a home affair. XD Cake cutting again! This time is a mango keki!!

So glad it was finished up! Many times, we couldn't finish the cakes due to the cream and all, but this one from Four Leaves was just nice. :D

Haha, I've cut my hair short yea....

Hair cut

Lesson learnt: Never go to the barber and say you want to cut your hair short. This is what happens.... Man, I look like a guy now... especially when I wear tees... T_T Recieved many wierd stares when I go into the public too... ARRRGHHHHH! I forgot that my ear was pierced only on the right side (due to the left side getting some infection and it closed pretty early), and yea, I zoomed off a few days later to get the left side done.

For the first time, I was called an aunty while I was selling cookie, and the person who called me aunty looked even older than me..... T_T Jsut so happened that I was facing the wall, scooping the cookie batter, Li Ning aunty was standing beside me, hidden from the views of the customers... and someone called out 'aunty'. I turned my head, and the woman was shocked. The people around her (most prob her colleagues) were chuckling to themselves "eh, she aunty ar?" XD XD XD XD XD It was some laughter there, but haha, some spice to the would be boring cookie job.

Anyways, yea, that's about it for now. Gotta let the pc off for Ting to work on her e-learning. 'Thanks' H1N1, NYP extended the hols for a week and she had to do e-learning at home from 6 to 10pm. Ah well... studies first yea. Lol...

2nd week into the hols...

yeap, so fast... Let's see...

Spoon

Well.. settled. It didn't go very well, but if I can pass, that would be great. Met Chris while Siew Khim and I were walking towards the adm school building. Chatted a while (sort of, around 10 minutes instead of the usual 1 hour nag nag), the same old starting of 'How?' ...

'...Like that lor.' I replied.

Sian ar.

He said the grades for the class are pretty averaged out, we aren't very very good, neither are we very very bad. ...taking that as a pass for everyone, I hope. Somehow, I hope not to see him again as a professor, but maybe... a random person who I can just stop and chat about stuff other than school...

Visit to Ms Sunshine's House!
The very first person I caught up with when the hols started... As promised, we had a generous helping of BnJ + Haagen Daz ice cream at her place. At least her house isn't as messy as the last time I visited. Things isn't going very well for her, other than listening, I couldn't do anything else for her... To think that it's her bdae this month... Gonna invite her for some dim sum soon...

Concerts...
Mwaaaaahh... so many lined up in May... the season of the Singapore Arts Festival, I guess. Huiling invited the gang to her Chinese Orchestra concert, performed by the Singapore Polytechnic CO. It was far better than the last one that she was involved in. All the sections seemed to be even out and balanced, despite her pointing out the weakness and strengths of the orchestra. Looking forward to the Distant Worlds concert! Weeeeee~~ Not to forget Yina' performance at Zouk! >_< Never been there, mum told me to expect an environment noisier than the arcade, but I wonder... if it's a singing competition, it shouldn't be that bad.

Job....less

Yesh... Thinking some other stuff now... I wonder if this was the factor affecting my mood these days. Bank's drying up... should have been months ago, I'm pretty proud that the few hundred can last me so long.... T_T T_T T_T but never forever... Ngaahhh...

Maple maple maple
Back to mapling... somehow, felt pretty pressured to level up when I see guildmates leveling at insane speed. Finally could have a conversation with Rabbit, was quite surprised she would just ask about my gender right after I logged in. Wonder if I've been behaving too male sometimes... Back in cass, there was a male mapler who got jealous of me being too good to the ladies...

Continued the two old accounts, created two new spearmen. Probably the very first time I chiong-ed out a spearman from lv 1 within 3+ hours... the fellow mapler training in 'henesys training ground' was like stopping, hanging on the rope everytime I lv up there, probably wondering if I was hacking or something... Scary what 3x exp can do when it meets a 2x event...

Drawing
Slow progress... I hardly did much sketches... The near completion picture of Mira Jane of Fairytail... Have been trying to imitate Mucha's style. Thinking of doing a series of it.

Went for Joan Kelly's Anatomy class today. My does she reminds me of Mr Calvin Tan nia... T_T (somehow, the latter is always the best in my tutor rankings....) While she described about how and where the specific muscles are attached to, I began to relate it to the art of rigging in maya... It's pretty amazing, how each muscle is built up and attached to specific areas to make every part of the body move... Never looked at them so detailed before, it can take a long time to really put the info into the head. I was pretty fascinated by what the muscles can do and decided to name my new spearman after Latissimus Dorsi (XD). Hmm... maybe if there's a new archer, I can try trepezius, pectoralis or deltoid... No one would use that i guess...wahahahaha~

Gotta catch up with Dor soon, time to discuss the next convention.

Zar shirt done!

Recieved a message from hell this morning, forwarded to my phone by Siew Khim... Chris was back for the day to review the spoon assignment... and I did nothing since the last time I consulted him 2 weeks ago. Anyways, that kind of set the tone for the day.... T_T Didn't go out with mum and the kids to buy stuff and sat at home, carving my spoons away from clay. Two hours later, the spoon snapped into two. Haiz.... went back to maple and realised it's 2x exp. Not at all in the chionging mood, but somehow, losing 6% and grinding at a low speed of 1% per 5 minutes at my level is far less torturous than facing the spoon....

Went back to reality after that and found that I should go get more clay. Travelled down to popular in Westmall and got that. In the meantime, I found a small set of fabric paints there and grabbed it off the shelf too. It's pretty cheap... but when it comes to art materials... what you give is what you get... which makes me wonder what's the level of permanance of these paints, but heck, I didn't want to invest in professional fabric paints since I don't paint shirts most of the time... It's just for fun anyway.

My messy workdesk...

The color is bright now, but I wonder if it can take the first wash...? Yea, me planning to wear it! Whahahaha..... hope the original picture is still ok... Sent the Gaurdian Angel pic to my sis a few days ago, wonder if it's on the way? Kind of worried that they'll fold the package... shoulda wrote somethign there to warn those postmen...

Oh yea, played that plane with those two kids today! It's pretty funnnn!! Me threw that plane down from the second storey and it kind of flew up a bit before it went crashing down. Somehow, it's nice to see them giggling away (especially away from the tv and computer screen), and Ting joined us with the fun. Wanted to get Dad down to the field too, but as usual, he's being a potato in front of the tv... Maybe another time...

The Tees are Done!

Yeap, the shirts are finally done! Whew... it's been a pretty tiring 3 week period of scrubbing, washing, getting hand stained with paint and getting all panic and worry over the deadline... But hey, it's pretty fun, and it's really cool to see the shirts of everyone else all done and lined up to dry! Maybe should get my spoiled camera to work and snap them pictures the next week.

The first one that was done! Kind of like the hearts there. Though many said this was the nicest of the three... still think it doesn't look very good....

I like this one personally. Must have been the contrast... And not to mention that it's the only one that didn't suffer 'accidents'.... The rest of the shirts caught some paint in some areas.... Sad...

The white in the green part kind of spoiled it... but I didn't care much about it... cos time was running out. Thought of re-doing... but it's gonna be sooooo.... troublesome... since it's three layers, meaning that I'll have to wash and scrub the screen 2 times to do it... :/ Might as well lend the time and screen to others who have yet to finish their project.

And something extra, just to satisfy myself... XD

It was rushed out.. so didn't consider much about the design and stuff. Grabbed a picture that I like and set it to black and white, print transparency, screen it, print shirt. The shirt caught some yellow paint unfortunately... wonder if bleaching would help..? Anyways, wanna go get some fabric paints and paint it! Also, me wanna try out shoe painting that HY suggested! Would be really fun!!! XDXDXD

Zeira

Yea~~~ Unofficial holiday for two days!!!! YEAAAAAA!!!!! -_-.... Ah well, I have to do some serious study during these two days... but I just wanna laze around.... T_T Argghh...

Did a little drawing during my free time in school today, kind of liked it, so did a quick cg for it with photoshop. Guess I'm still accustomed to the illustrator way of doing computer graphics...

The sketch...

and the one hour + cg... Didn't wanna do a too detailed piece, so smack some texture in. Still feels pretty incomplete... maybe some text might help... Somehow, the energetic feel of the sketch is lost during the cg.... T_T

Zar EmoAvatars

Haha, yeap, that's my archer Zardas... It started with little ideas during work, I was looking at my msn avatar and thinking, 'it's starting to get a bit boring.... maybe I should try making something new...maybe something like that emoticon but is an avatar pic...' So taa-daa~ Drew that 'inferno' emoticon-like avatar (cos during that period of time, I was rushing my work to meet a deadline). Soon, I started brainstorming pictures of the other bowman skills, adding the 'emoticon' feel to it and slowly, they start forming the comical picture above (the words are just random babble). Yeap, I'm now using my new set of emo-avatars and a yellowy wallpaper on my office com :p

Ok, enough freedom now... gotta start worrying about that poster design.....T.T And yeash, I got my place in the university I applied a month ago ;P. The letter came real early, I was expecting two months later. Guess it's hello to sch soon!

Zar, creed, erhn

Have been wanting to draw zar again eversince i got the dark arund (yay! all black!! XD). Wanted to express the blacks so played around with the negative space... somehow... didn't turn out nice.. Maybe too dark...

Medium: colour pencils on black paper

And while searching for some reference pics for an upcoming personal project, found this!

Yeap, Creed and Erhn, one little girl (who plays the ice wizard) i met in cass last time. She's... undergoing puberty i guess XD so lotsa dramas going on while she's around. Likes to stick around her buddies (and when i say stick, it's superglue type), pyscho me into her guild, drag me around cass and fight in places where she ends up tombstoning. Yea, it's the tombstoning part that makes me wanna go nowhere(I'm no bishop nia...). A while after some more buddies entered her maple life, she started leaving me alone. Dunno what happened, she got hacked...by her close friend in school, a few times... The last i saw of her.. she remade a character, taking up the bow and arrow.

While looking at her going through so many things during that time, it makes me wonder why one would wanna immerse oneself into the society behind the screen so deeply. Relationships and all, presented in pixels, truly virtual? What's real anyway? Maybe i haven't ventured beyond the screen to understand that. Or maybe i dun wanna understand that, it's just giving myself more problems. XD

we 3 archers of cassiopea

This is...one of those 'in long progress' artworks. Drawn and done half way some months back, only to come back to it today, when i flipped thru that file full of 'hibernating' works... Yea, maple-theme again, this time, my two buddies of cass: cutie and boii (the other of course is me! XD). Given it an old parchment treatment... cos now the three of us are no longer jamming together...

It was fun; an all archer party hunting and questing in ludi. Not long, cutie got caught up with her working life...boii's acc got hacked, followed by hers. Tried helping to revive their accounts by giving whatever archer stuff i can spare, but soon, both weren't continuing due to their other responsibilities. I too started to drift away. Ah well...

Work in progress!:

Tried painting in a standing position (due to lack of chairs in the room...). Pasted the painting on the cupboard (economical solution to no easels...). A piece of cloth hanging for drying my wet brush:

A wristband to hold my brushes! XD

After painting, a brown colour pencil was used to bring in more defined shades, not to forget the white for highlights! Seriously need a scanner.... the camera doesn't seem to be color friendly...

HongDouDou

A friend requested a pic of hongdoudou, a former guild member of the guild my archer is currently in. I tried my hand at drawing her character before, but failed... When I lift the pencil to draw, I was stuck with the question: 'what is doudou's personailty...?' As she left shortly after i joined, I didn't get to know her well.

Think..see..ask... drag drag drag... settle!

Her name meant something more than a 'red bean'... so, decided to add in the un-maple element of saga seeds (yea..those red dots there..) The few who i showed the pic to couldn't figure out what they were ...T.T (shi bai arrrr). Until i said 'her name is hongdoudou' did they go 'oooo'.

A ranger's life for me...

Whew...long time no update, as usual. XD Zardas is now at lv 79.... guess the exp bar will be crawling at a snail's speed these times. Done with watercolors. Still awed by the rich colors of the new set i've bought. Just a tiny dab of paint and it's so....><

Julliant

I had this pose and scene set in mind for sometime, but never really quite got the right character to fit in. Initially thought of mages, but their clothes covered the silhouettes too much. Until I saw a pic posted by a forummer. Man, why didn't I think about a bowman in ades? So did a sketch of it, and rendered it out. Named after the forummer's character.

I <3 U

A pic I did for valentines day. Done with gouache and a bit of color pencils. The coloring was done in consecutive 7 hours...which resulted in a wrist-ache for 2 days. :p

And a little aftermath~
