...One day, Len got really really bored. She didn't want post her works on DA. Neither does she wanna post in FAC. She just want a quiet space for herself. Somewhere where no one will comment or spy on. So she made this :P

EPIC

Yes, Epic.
It's been a week.
All masks had been removed, all 'face' had been thrown.

... okie, that sounds serious... but it's epic, what tone should i give it anyway...? Since it's been shown to the class (and soon to the next), yea, I had slowly gotten off that embrassment phase... I think. I'm the epic head banger... (the in-class assignment had me banging the head too..) Ah well... Dun laugh.

That was our first stop motion animation assignment, took around 7 or 8 hrs of filming time. The 'army of chairs marching out' part was tiring to do, but was the most satisfying scene to see. Enjoyed the process of filming, though i didn't get to play much with the animating... other than the yellow, 'lame' chair, hahaha. The guys handled the editting and music, which I found their choice of music adds a lot to the hilarity than the 'epic-type' that we had initially planned for. Overall... a bit more drama than stopmo look, but still a fun project.

In the second assignment, our group was broken up into two, since the grouping is restricted to a maximum of three. Nevertheless, we end up helping each other since they need side actors and we (being a two-woman-show) need helpers as well. Rui Fan and I had a pretty hard time filming, since she's the actress for the film and I'm left alone to move the stuff around and take the shots. We had some trouble with the pre-production, the framing and flow and all, but when we get down to do the real thing, somehow, we managed to solve them out. Haha, that kind of went on till late in the night, and we were lucky to get a cab back. Thankfully, she just live a couple of blocks away from my home! 130am! Guess that's the first time I return home from any school so 'early'...

One of the props used in the film. Haha, threw it away after the filming, see no point keeping. Proportions off, face... probably a bit of resemblence...(yea, in denial..) One and half hours with charcoal. Maybe I should try doing more portraits at home... Arggh... the lazy bug.

Monday (No) Blues

School again! A brand new semester, and a brand new chapter for my lil sis:

All pink yea... enrolled into St Anthony's too. A couple of tantrum stories here and there at first, but guess she's starting to get used to the environment. So good... they no longer have examinations for the lower primary kids. Lol....

As for me... took up astronomy as an elective this semester. The lectures were pretty boring... though the lecturer's lame jokes quite kept me awake at times, haha. I'm starting to find myself looking up into the sky every night more often, trying to figure out which is Rigel and Betelgeuse. Soon Orion will be out of range... wonder what should i look out for?

No artworks in december though, not much. More of craftwork... haha. Mum was surprised when i came back home one day with a bag of beads and d.i.y sets. Made a couple of simple angel keychains there,

Slowly, my sisters were influenced by my beading craze, and we end up making some more stuff, wierd wierd stuff... but heck, for the fun of it. Xiu went back to Australia with some beads too. Ahh..... so fast. It's already the start of the third week of school... and I feel like some lazy bum who haven't done much stuff. Have been making a point to write my diary again, or I'll start forgetting stuff.

Ah yes... school has been pretty interesting. I'm pretty satisfied with my module choices so far, especially the compositing class. The professor is pretty... interesting:

Haha, love that last one... but dun think I'll take up that dare, haahahah. The previous Asian art history lecturer has returned to take his place this semester, and I find myself enjoying his lectures. He doesn't give things in your face, but he elaborates and explain clearly, confident of his words and at times philosophical... Haha, he reminds me of a priest giving sermons, but one that doesn't make me sleep. Animation history prof is really cute in his speeches, hahaha, one can probably talk about movies with him and feel like you're talking to a friend. Stop motion class and storyboarding has been group work for me... so far so good. A pretty relaxing timetable this time, one that can easily slack off... but hopefully, I get myself occupied!

Experimental mixed media painting (and collage with tissue paper) of some daisies... Have been feeling restless when it comes to painting. I wonder if I'm getting bored of the same medium and style....
